| Self Help - Anxiety |
| |
|
|
| The word anxiety is used to describe
the mental and physical response to feared and threatening situations.
This reaction may include trembling, choking, increased heart
rate, sweating, feelings of unreality and so on. Anxiety is
a normal response experienced by everyone at times. Nearly being
hit by a car, sitting for an exam or giving a public talk are
all examples of situations in which most people would experience
some anxiety. We have a comprehensive article on the subject
available for download. |

interactive tools that have helped thousands of people
challenge and overcome their anxiety and panic. The core

Whatever your motivation, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT)

panic. There is also the opportunity to do an on-line

| No Panic |
 |
| No Panic is a charity which aims to
aid the relief and rehabilitation of those people suffering
from Panic Attacks, Phobias, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders,
other related Anxiety Disorders. We live in an age where
anxiety is an accepted part of daily life. Will I get
to work on time? Will the bills get paid? Will the car
start? These are examples of "normal" anxiety which we
have all experienced during our lives and which represent
relatively small problems. However, for people who suffer
from Anxiety Disorders these "small" problems get blown
up out of all proportion and can dramatically affect their
lives. The good news is that sufferers can and do get
better but it takes a lot of help and support along the
way and that is where No Panic comes in. |
